The innovative technology was officially unveiled in Brambleton Town Center’s theater earlier this month, following six months of construction and updates to one screening room. If there’s a storm happening in the scene, you’ll feel it too, with special effects like wind, fog, rain, lightning and more occurring in the theater. Here’s how it works: You take a seat in the comfortable chairs of the theater as you normally would, yet this time as the action takes place on the screen, it feels as if you are right there with it, through motion and sound effects inducing your bodily senses of smell, touch and hearing. Going to the movies in Northern Virginia just became even more exciting, thanks to the installation of 4DX technology in the Regal Fox Theatre in Ashburn.
